Now A Poppy Plush Convert

Hi Jamie! Sorry it was just now that I wrote about the products I got from you but you see I was skeptical at first. I have always been an organic soap-and-product-user and some soaps did really disappoint me. Some were good at the start but became boring sooner or later. Some offered results but never did follow through...but I am sooooo glad Poppy Plush is not one of them!

Yes I am admitting that I am now a Poppy Plush convert! Here's what I love about it:

1. Deodorant alternative - I hereby certify that Poppy Plush is an effective alternative to deodorants! I have ever since been defiant of using deos not only because of the sticky feeling it brings but also the chemical it goes with it.

2. Mild Vanilla Scent - I believe you already know that I loooove Vanilla and want to have loads of its scent. I never thought that I would appreciate how mild Poppy Plush has it and it has became its advantage. It also has this "clean" scent that I cannot describe. With this clean scent plus the mild vanilla, Poppy Plush becomes a wonderful bathing experience!

3. Lots of Lathering - I am an OC mom and sometimes when I see a soap making lots of foam, I believe that it is really working. Poppy Plush works up a lot of lather like bathing with Dove minus the too greasy feeling afterwards.

4. Strong enough. When I read that the soap is perfect for sensitive skin, I became worried that it might be too mild for me. I like soaps that give me the "tingle" of squeaky clean like tea tree facial washes. These facial washes give me a tightening feel which I want...Poppy Plush surprisingly gave me that tightening feel.

5. Baby soft feel afterwards. That's what I experience everytime I bath with Poppy Plush. You can feel the moisture not too much on the outside but inside. I am not a lotion user because I don't like the feel it gives. The moisture that Poppy Plus gives me is perfect!

VNM Raves, A Big, Warm Thank You and Everything Else In Between

*This entry is dedicated to those who are so thoughtful to send a PM or an SMS, post a comment or even email a sweet long testimonial to convey gratitude or to just express a simple gesture of confirmation. Thank you very much! I hope these rave reviews coming from you will be able to help other people become more careful with the products that they use.


After a long and very tiring day yesterday, I was a bit dizzy and was about to rest until I receive an apologetic message from Gingey Manansala, one of the regular clients of Venus and Mars.

All because she forgot that she sent an order form and thus, was not able to pay. Hehe! I would just like to share a quick story about my first encounter with this cool lady. The first time she bought from VNM, her package was unfortunately stuck with Air21 for like 3 days or so. It was funny because we were both extremely following up in the hopes of having the package sent to her ASAP. That should be a traumatic experience for both of us since basically, that was the first time we even met online! That incident surprisingly established a good connection between us instead of bringing in friction.

So, going back, just last night we had a few exchanges through text and this was how it went.

Gingey: I just have to say that your products did wonders for my skin in the short time that I have used it. ☺ My skin is not dry anymore and my scars have lightened!

Me: Yay! I’m sincerely happy for you, Gingey! How’d you get those scars if you don’t mind me asking?

Gingey: Hahaha! I went to San Francisco and New York kasi the summer of 2007 and it was freezing cold there I couldn’t stop myself from scratching? ☹ Kaya yun. Sa sobrang lamig naging super dry ng skin ko, naging flaky na siya. So. You can just imagine how gross it was. Scratching dry and flaky skin. Puro sugat yung legs and arms ko and I never got rid of it na until I used your soap and lotion.

Me: Oh I see, thanks for sharing ginger dear. Lam mo, messages like these from my clients really make me so happy. Kasi I feel like we become part of their lives just by having them to try our products. I’m really so touched. Sorry if it’s cheesy already. Hihi! ☺

VNM has really taught me a lot. Exchanges like these give inexplicable joy to my heart and inspire me to offer more heavenly products. VNM may not be as big as the ones your mind instantly remembers when you hear skin care now, but rest assured you are getting premium quality you never thought you could get. We give much love and effort in preparing the products that we launch. We make certain it is not just your ordinary skin care experience. We do not sell our products at a high price for a quality that is mediocre. Everything is reasonable (for all the right reasons, 'coz you can be reasonable for unethical reasons too, right?)

I know at this point in time, it’s so hard to trust, especially with everything that is happening in the market, but I personally believe it just takes a little effort to make yourself aware that leads you to places. ☺ Next time I will be posting an entry concerning consumer scares.

As my dad always says, life and relationships are analogous to staring at a mirror. As long as you do good things, people will be good to you too. Circumstances may not always be, but it should not hinder you from following this path.

Emu Oil and Poppy Plush On Psoriasis and More

I have been receiving inquiries about my mom's friend who suffered from psoriasis and how long the products have actually taken results. Apologies for not being clear about this part.

She said that she has seen the results after a week of religiously using emu oil and poppy plush. It stopped the itching and the red marks have been really improving as well, which she did not get from the other products she relied on before. Poppy Plush Has Changed A Life

... and is continuing to change more, one bar at a time.

This entry though will be devoted to the story of my cousin who contacted a severe case of skin asthma in her teenage years and had it for almost thirty years, now that she is in her early 40's.

This was how her legs and some parts of her body looked like before.
















Red patches all over. This skin tragedy truly made her worrisome since she could not even walk properly anymore. She lost her self-esteem and she always needed to wear jeans, jogging pants or jazz pants (when it even hurts to wear her old comfy pair of jeans.)

And this is how her legs look like now after using a bar of poppy plush.






To say that I am happy for her is an understatement. (Ate Ailyn and I are really close in the family) I was teary-eyed when she informed me of the good news because there were times when we felt hopeless about it already. We thank the Lord for this wonderful blessing. Now, we both make it a point that she has this wonder bar in her bathroom, always. :)

A Few VNM Stories You Must Know

This is a looong overdue post because I have looong wanted to share this experience with everyone especially those who have been visiting this blog. For quite some time, this page has been stagnant and I would like to apologize for that.

Hence, please welcome my way of making up for the long wait I put you through, dear friends. Here are some of the stories that amazed me (and the people involved, of course!) brought to us by only Venus and Mars (VNM).

EMU WONDER #1
My mom was complaining about the pain she was feeling on her back and left shoulder for months. She has been to a lot of massage sessions. And massage oils have become a staple. The pain certainly hindered her from doing a lot of the things she usually does. And so she was really on the lookout for that one thing that could stop this tragedy. Until we started with this business.

How she fall in love with emu oil was a sweet story - and I could say that it was even sweeter than my parents' love yarn! She was exaggerately amazed at how it has eliminated the bad pain in only a week,(I would just like to reiterate that she had it for months and it kept her from being her usual self!) Actually, I can still remember when she told me after a day of using it "Jam, parang nawala na. This is quite exaggerated, I wanna test some more." Haha! Looking back, natatawa na lang siya because it was such a Senior Moment! Now, she never fails to apply the wonder oil every night with her next favorite oil, Extra Virgin coco oil. My mom is such a VNM fan she uses everything everyday!

My mom's friend had psoriasis for almost all her life until she used VNM emu products. She used a whole lot of skin products that cost her a fortune but never actually cured her problem.
