Some Words From You (THAT I LOVE!)

Allow me to share some of the few exchanges I had with Ms. Cindz Monsod last night. I am very touched with what she replied to me before I fell asleep. :)

Cindz: I bought Foam for the Gods before and yea, it's really good. I'm using that now and also Cleopatra Rub. How about emu oil? Is it okay to use it as a moisturizer? I'll buy Royal Pearl, CPC+G Whitening, Foam for the Gods and Emu oil from Nina of Hairfree kasi we will meet up. Hala baka super puti ko na lalo. I'm Cindz Monsod btw. :)

Me: Hi Cindz, yea puputi ka but in a good way. I'm so happy with my yuletide pics kasi my skin is really glowing. I've fair skin too btw. :) yes, emu oil is good. I use it every night. :)

(I don't like products that make skin unnaturally "fair"-looking. Yung parang the tone of the face looks so different from the tone of the neck! Products like these are definitely no-nos for me!!! Hello, we don't wanna look like a ghost here people, rosy yea, but reddish white or white alone? No way! Hehe)

Cindz: Ok. Thanks so much, Jamie! I'll arrange my orders with Nina, I guess it makes you feel more beautiful 'coz your making us feel the same with your products. Happy 2009! :)

That was it, that particular message made my night. Thanks, Cindz!!! :) Happy 2009 to you too! People like you make VNM truly extra worth it and fulfilling. :)

Early today, I was able to have a few exchanges with Ms. Tish Tejada as well. Without me knowing, she already emailed to me her feedback last week. It was so nice of her to resend the message to me. And it honestly left me with goosebumps all over. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Tish! :) That was definitely a great way to end this year and start my 2009! :)

Here it is, I hope you enjoy reading her feedback as much as I do! :)

From Tish:

Hi Jamie. Here’s that “comprehensive review” that I promised. It took me a while to pen down my takes on your products, but it’s only because I wanted to take my time in observing the effects of V&M products on my skin and on others’ whom I gave some products to. After a week of using most of what I got from you, I think I am more than ready to divulge what I have gathered thus far.

I got one Getting Started Kit (includes a 30ml bottle of Cleopatra Rub and three emu oil soap variants – poppy plush, coffee fame and minty geranium mud), emu oil (for my sister), and two foam for the gods bars.

Before I met V&M’s soaps, I was satisfied with the emu oil soap that I was using. I thought it was the best for my skin, until V&M happened.

The minty geranium mud soap was the first one that I tried. It lathers really well and feels good on the skin that after my first shower, I already noticed a difference in my skin’s texture --- softer and smoother, just like a baby’s. It’s also so tempting to touch that I myself couldn’t stop running my fingers down my cheeks. I just couldn’t help feeling how soft and smooth my skin is now. Also, this soap doesn’t leave my skin dry like other soaps do.

Unfortunately, the poppy plush variant is with my sister, so I can’t say anything about it. My sister claims, however, that this bar is helping in the healing of her dermatitis and eczema together with emu oil (I asked her to write about a testimony about it to encourage others). Coffee fame has yet to be tried, perhaps in the coming weeks.

Next is the Cleopatra Rub. I got this one in strawberry since I’m a sucker for anything and everything that’s strawberry-ish. The first thing I noticed when I opened the bottle is the scent; it’s similar to Victoria’s Secret’s Blossoming Romance. Second, the consistency is incredibly thick as a conditioner’s or a hair treatment product. I haven’t seen a lotion with such a rich consistency as V&M’s. Now before I go on, I must say that I am NOT into lotions. I hate wearing lotions (or even moisturizers) for two reasons: 1. Most lotions I’ve tried are greasy and sticky and feel too heavy on the skin; 2. Wearing lotion in a hot/humid country like the Philippines is just insane. I feel even stickier and ickier especially when I sweat. I only use lotions after bathing in the pool, when I remember, and/or on a special occasion, when I’m not lazy. But as with everything, there are exceptions. And for this, I make an exception for V&M’s Cleopatra rub.

Why?

1. It absorbs easily into the skin.

2. It moisturizes and makes the skin softer and smoother.

3. It’s neither greasy nor sticky.

4. It doesn’t wear off when I sweat.

For these reasons, I am now planning on purchasing a full size bottle of this wonderful Cleopatra rub.

Lastly, the most intriguing of all, foam for the gods. The name itself is intriguing enough; not to mention the long list of ingredients and details that came with it. The latter two only made purchasing so tempting. Moving on, I gave the other one to a friend since I ordered two of these babies. I asked him to use this one instead of his expensive skin care products. After using it for less than a week, his skin has become softer, smoother, brighter and clearer. The pimple marks and red spots (probably from stress and from shaving) on his face are now gone and his nose is now clear of blackheads and whiteheads (amazing!). He loves it just as much as I do that he asked me to tell him where and how much I got it and he’ll order more. Well, that’s his story. Here’s mine. I cut mine into three small bars to make it last longer. I use this more often that the minty geranium mud soap because of its very refreshing and invigorating scent that awakes my senses when I’m still too groggy to get up. It smells citrusy, but it is far from smelling like a car air freshener. I think, for some reason, I love this more than minty geranium. I can’t really explain why as they both have the same effect on my skin (I think). But what I can say is, I love it. I love how it softens and smoothens my skin with every wash and how it makes my skin brighter and clearer each day. It’s just incredible! My elbows, knees and ankles are amazingly smoother even without lotion! Now if only I can stop squatting and kneeling and leaning on my elbows on every surface, these areas would be even softer.

Jamie, your products are amazing. Thank you for all these and for including a freebie in my package. I haven’t tried it yet, but I certainly will, soon. Although this review didn’t come out as comprehensive as I thought it would be, I hope it’ll still make your day. I’ll make another one of a different voice for my blog. I’ll let you know when I’m done with it. Until my next review, happy holidays to you and a fruitful and God-filled new year to us all.

(PART 2)

Here’s a follow up to my first review/testimonial. I promise this is going to be short. :)

*Foam for the gods*

I just discovered that foam for the gods makes an excellent make up essential as it preps the skin perfectly for a much easier make up application. It improves the skin's complexion by making it clearer, brighter, smoother and softer and makes (mineral) make up last even longer. And because all V&M’s soaps help in keeping the oil at bay, my face looks fresh even after 8hours. (One of my people told me how fresh I still looked even after 12hours in the office)

Here’s a short story as proof:

You know how horrible we look when we’re sick? I don’t. Why? Because I use V&M’s foam for the gods.

I was amazed at how fresh and I must say pretty I looked that day I was sick. To my oblivion, I was already burning at 39.5degrees when I left the house to see a doctor before heading to work. Physically, I felt terrible --- sleepy, weak and very heavy. I wanted to go home and curl up in bed. I thought I already resembled the old-looking young ladies in all of Stresstabs’ commercials; but when I looked at myself in the elevator walls of Tektite, I nearly flipped out in surprise. I looked fine and no one could tell I was close to 40degrees.

Here’s my regimen:

1. I wash my face with foam for the gods.

2. I apply my primer

3. I apply my mineral make up

*Emu Oil*

Although I don’t really have any skin problem, I use emu oil whenever I get cuts and lacerations and I am amazed at how quickly they heal. But that’s not all that emu oil does, it also helps minimize the appearance of scars.

Emu oil is definitely a wonder oil! This should be a staple in every home.

---

Again, thank you sweeties! I hope you have a great, blessed and more prosperous year ahead! :)

Jamie
