So that grueling time of the month just passed again. And I swear whenever that phase is nearing, I always know it is. Why? Simply 'coz of the hormonal changes that I just don't miss!
What happens (physically) a week before it arrives?
1. Pimples suddenly popping out from nowhere both body and face uggh.
2. Extremely visible whiteheads - that unparalleled kind which your precious fingers are just so so itching to prick!
3. Oilier face.
What I do to achieve and regain that smooth and flawless look?
1. I do not prick those whiteheads. I scrub with VNM Escape BodExfoliator (both body and face but with a milder intensity on the face). I notice that the whiteheads are easily removed from the skin upon washing the scrubs off without all the horrible effort of pricking.
For the body, (GIVE TIME FOR THIS!) I slather on some of Escape, scrub scrub scrub for ten to fifteen minutes (hopefully this will cover the entire body already), leave on for five minutes, scrub scrub scrub some more for five minutes again. Leave on and then rinse. Then I use VNM soaps all over my body, enjoy the rich lather it creates while singing then rinse. :) So after you've just spent almost an hour in the bathroom, there has to be some reward eh? Just as you are rinsing, you'll notice a softer skin worthy of sweet smooches. You'll be amazed! I do this once a week. It is simply replenishing. :)
2. I wash my face with Coffee Fame and Minty Geranium Mud. I massage thoroughly, leave on the lather for about 1-2 minutes and then wash it off. It is very refreshing to use this combo. I use Minty Geranium in the morning and Coffee Fame at night to remove all the dirt and grime stuck on my skin throughout the day. It is my mild exfoliant. Coffee beans are love, you have my word for it. Just create a lather n your hands first then massage so that the beans won't hurt you. And I must say, it is very effective. For my bod, I currently use Coffee Fame and Foam for the Gods and it just feels smoother each time. After bath, I slather on some Cleopatra Rub for extra pampering. I am loving the one in strawberry scent. :) Emu Oil, Cocoa Butter, Grapeseed extracts and a lot more? Truly pampering! Don't be surprised if you suddenly become worthy of the question: "Did you just come out from a spa treatment?" Seriously.
3. I use VNM Face Cream every other night and Emu Oil with CPC+G in between these nights. Blackheads, no more! Believe me. :) BUT, DO THIS RELIGIOUSLY.
4. I use VNM Facial Mask every Wednesday. This is quite a minty mask so you will be experiencing a tingly feeling in the first five minutes. But, do not fret for it will not leave you with a red face at all. After masking, you will notice a more radiant-looking face. You will feel prettier because the oil on your face just won't feel accumulated. I do this once a week.
5. Morning and night. When I don't do anything. When I remember. I make sure I remember. WHAT? Put on Lip Detox! Oh boy, this is one of my favorites! This is the best lipbalm I've tried. I am not saying this because this is actually my lipbutter, but because with all honesty, it is. You'll never know what I am talking about until you try it. I strongly recommend this to those who have extremely undeniably horribly chapped lips (and even to those who can't seem to spend a day with any lippie because of what the lippies theyve tried usually creates on their lips (eeek) )! Try this first before trying on any other brand and notice a healthier younger-looking lips. :)
I make it a point that I do this regularly no matter how busy I am because nothing can replace a well-loved skin. :) After that phase of the month, I am always amazed at how renewed my face is, it simply glows even without make-up. It seems flawless. :) My body has never been this smooth and flawless. :)
Yes, what's inside is what really counts but it does not hurt to be fabulous inside and out ya know. And so let us not be shy and admit, we want both equally! I want both! Let's have both together (I'm joyfully shouting)! ;)
That's it for now, friends. More updates next time. (I'm really excited to share with you but I can't just yet.) :)
